Similar strategies are still in use today - especially in "Right-to-Work" States.

By the by, it wasn't/isn't just about wages that Unions still organize around today, that is, working conditions, safety, paid sick days, Holidays off with pay, paid vacations, among other topics, are still important to workers and their families.... One problem is illustrated in this chart on the website below... (and there are still suck-ups, "company men," and snitches...)
