As I have learned in applying the Bible to my life as a reality - not as merely a subjective viewpoint, the Bible is a meat and potatoes history of God's interactions with people. Thereefore, it shows the people - warts and all, their faults as well as as virtues and God as in a very capable and loving parental role.
