As I have realized and express it, there is a huge difference between Religion and relationship with Jesus. You have written what are more than mere rules, if I understand you correctly, but the command for a second birth you place way down the list. Folks need to understand they need to begin at the beginning as in any race or adventure or project. Repentance is an essential part of this event for sure, but without it a person will not be able to see let alone apply all of the rest of what Jesus said, which would then be works of following the rules and not following and internalizing the heart and mind of the person, Jesus of Nazareth. It's a strait and narrow entryway, and few find it.
