I'm a Bible Believing Born Again Believer and you missed the fact that Genesis starts with the beginning of the creation of the material Universe and everything in it. Nowhere does the Bible say that God and the kingdom of Heaven have not always existed. That I think is the "already somethi.ng there" you refer to.
