Good article, and I agree that if God weighed all sin equally, He would seem to be petty, arbitrary, and oppressive. God is a good good Father and does not want harm or hurt to befall us. So, He warns us about disobedience and its consequences. After all, He does know what is best for our lives ,and His Laws and precepts are the guardrails to keep us on track for the abundant life Jesus promises.
