Good essay, and I generally agree with every criticism you assert. Still, there are a couple points I would like to make.

Just for the sake of openness, I must point out that, unashamedly, I am a Born Again Bible Believing Christian (though not an Evangelical).

First of all, an idea I strongly object to is assuming all Evangelicals are the same in religious beliefs and socio-political views. I used to have a tendency to lump individuals into the same batch of dough, but now know better than to be prejudiced by any number of bad actors.

would sort out the general classification of Evangelicals into several subcategories: Q-anon. MAGA, Traditional, and Born Again. I respect your intelligence enough to believe that you can deduce how my differences pan out.

Next, your #5... I believe, generally thinking, in Science. However, even though I used to think that God used evolution in Creation, later I realized I hadn't really thought that theory out before. Then, realizing it was the position in a relatively modern mindset (atheism) and that I had learned about it in High School only by rote and only so I could pass the final exam... Allow me to refer you to Professor John Lennox. As a theistic Scientist, he explains my current thinking much better than I. So, I refer you to either his books or his Youtube videos. For example: John Lennox Discusses the Beginning of the Universe - Science Uprising Expert Interview

So, those are the only points of contention that I have with your essay.

Oh, by the by, and again for the sake of openness, I see "Christian Nationalism" more akin to the 1930's National Socialist German Workers Party - "Nazi" for short - than akin to any practice in or persuasion of Biblical Christianity.

My only Bible reference I want to share is in 2 Peter 2:1-3, "But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping." NIV
