I am implying as a generalization that people who like to throw criticisms from the sidelines often are ignorant of the "game" Christians are trying to play - maybe like footballers trying to understand football and vicey-versey. So, yes, atheists certainly think they know more about Christianity, but Faith in God requires more than head knowledge. It's a participation sport. So, not religion but a personal relationship with the living God of the Bible and not of mankind's imaginations.

Which reminds me, if it isn't too personal, what has your pursuit of atheism done for you and also, for the world?

Something else that I don't understand: there certainly has been many atheists who have committed atrocities over the ages... Can you name some?
