I do agree with most all of your essay, except the one in particular which has manifold effects. The Scripture essential for us to understand as Believers is "Many are called but few are chosen." Just learned this, by the way... the Greek word for "called" means "invited" - like I call you up to invite you to go for a walk, and "chosen" also implies as into a group - like you're invited to come along with a group. By the way, Christians are special to God, but we are not "special" compared to other people - as in a higher rank or as in being more important. In other words, we are not "the elite" as in a superior race... remember "servants of all?"
