I grew up in a Presbyterian Church where in Sunday School I learned the age appropriate stories like Adam and Eve, Noah and the Flood, King David, the Nativity, Jesus and the little children... "When I was a child..." Never being taught the fundamental Calvinist doctrines, however, I was not aware of "predestination" an d now I reject Calvin's interpretation, and by default, your understanding, also. It is contrary to free will and "whosoever will may come." The parable of the wedding also seems to indicate those who were called and predestined didn't RSVP and were therefore cut off and others were brought in. We are, as Born Again Believers, after coming to Christ, predestined-in-Him (one word) as God's foreknowledge-plan-He-had-before-the world-began (also one word)...That is to say God had everything planned out, knew how Mankind would react, and had "backup plans" for that too : Jesus. God had and has every eventuality covered! That is what is predestined. It remains every individual's choice to choose that destiny or no.
