I grew up with the KJV, too. After my second birth I moved on to the NKJV, as it was a gift. Now i use biblehub.com most of the time since English from the 1600's can lead to much confusion. What the KJV's have that modern translations seem to have omitted is the singular and plural pronouns which in the modern vernacular wouold be "Hey you! Buddy, come here." versus "Hey, you guys! Cme here for a second." Or, "How are you, George?" as opposed to "Hey, congregation! How y'all doing this morning?" The omission has led to a few serious misunderstanding which have turned into unchallenged and harmful doctrines.
