I have a tendency to be wordy, but I'll try to keep this short...

First, I agree with every single point you made in this essay.

Second, if I can build on it a bit, like the meaning of the derogatory political term "RINO," insinuating there are political people who are "in name only," there are some who take the Lord's name in that same loose way.

The word "vain" from the Greek "μάταιος," mataios, meaning useless, aimless, fleeting, and the like... So, I would say there are fake, false, and counterfeit Christians. Like you indicate, it is a common trait in all Mankind's endeavors.

Deuteronomy 5:11 says "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave anyone unpunished who takes His name in vain." - BSB. The preceding verse, 10, is about God's mercy and forgiveness, exactly what the Gospel talks to. Taking the name of Jesus as one's own but in a useless manner, does not make them a pillar of virtue nor a representative of Christ, that is, a Christian.

Still, as you indicated, the world is full of frauds in every aspect of our Human existence.

Good article. I hope it will open the eyes, the understanding, and the thinking of everyone to those truths.
