I know only a few proper names for the tribes and nations of the Americas from Dances With Wolves, and my daughter took me to the History Museum which has displays of what we were taught were the "Iroquois Nations." Sorry. I am too old to recall the real name. Is it okay for me to use "Native American" when the tribal name is not apparent? I am of Scotch Heritage and I am able to relate to American History from the heels of England's rule.
