I think we are on the same misssion.

I struggle with how we might best communicate the Good News, and like you, I often use Bible verses.

Still, I have found it difficult to explain the Good News in a way that isn't refuted by retorts like, "You're using Scripture to justify (or explain) Scripture." Our mistake might be that we are using the unrecognizable to explain the unrecognizable - that is, using the unknown to explain the unknowable.

My journey to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ began with the slightest of hopes that God did exist and that I had the slimmest of chances to get ahold of Him... I guess I started with the vaguest of hopes that He existed, could hear me, and could actually rescue me from my "foxhole," as it were. In other words, I didn't have the faith at that time that was anywhere near as solid as the way in which Hebrews describes faith...
