It may help to know the Greek and Hebrew definitions of "sin," "hell," etc. I tyupe into Search - "Bible, Greek word for sin,' for example and find more relevant words like "harmfulness" for sin, "sheol" that is "the realm for souls after death" and place the new understanding of God as our loving Father who wants no harm to come to His children and wants to gather us into His arms. By the by, "evil" seems to be understood by the writers as a debilitating and/or malignant harm... Hope this helps. A more challenging question peoople pose is if Adam and Eve were the first people, why is Chinese history 2,000 years+ preceding the Bible history? Answer: In Genesis' chapter uno, God created Mankind/Humanity. He saw it all "very good"and took the next day off. (day defined by Merriam Webster is more like an era than a 24 hour day.) Then, in Chapter 2 (Two) He created the Garden and Adam and Eve - AFTER HIS DAY OFF! (By the by, Adam called Eve "the mother of all lliving" and not God. You see, Adam had been living a pretty secluded life and hadn't yet set foot into the rest of the world...
