It's funny to me that you mentioned Scientoloty. When I was living the 60's anti-War drug culture in Berkely CA, I decidie to check out a little office right next to my one room apartment which was promising some kind of nirvana. The young woman at one ot the two desks hooked me up to two lack painted soup cans that were hooked up to a voltimeterm asked me a few questions and declared that I needed to buy their book and pay for the next step on my way to their promised land. I passed up that ridiculousness even though I was a druggie an LSD-addled young man.
