Just So Y’all Know…

Reading the Bible for over 50 years now, but I admit, not always putting its tenets into practice — even though that practice has always been a benefit to me… My stupid.
During the last several years, I have turned to a more steady study with emphasis on clarifications of its message, concentrating on misunderstandings of its teachings and attempting to clarify words and phrasing from the original ancient Greek texts and sometimes the ancient Hebrew texts.
Now, there are somewhere between 600 and 800 thousand words in the Bible, and I have worked on less than one dozen of them. Still, many are key words that when misunderstood can throw people off the Way which Jesus taught for us is the path we need to walk on… There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. — Proverbs 14:12, NIV.
Further, let me emphasize that I have no degree from any Theological Seminary, nor do I have much formal education beyond High School. My degrees come from the School of Hard Knocks and Cornell University ILR Extension night school.
Neither am I anything beyond an amateur Linguist. However, I know how to do research and get educated by the people who are Linguists and who have formal education in interpreting various languages and who specialize in Bible translations.
Beyond that, I rely on “a wing and a prayer” to arrive at my conclusions.

All the same, I would just as soon my readers consider what I write as only my opinion, consider what I do say, and then perhaps take the time to respond with thoughtful criticism or agreement.
I am certainly open to discussion, but with this one provision:
Responses with inept vituperative malevolence will first be answered, and shortly thereafter, if no constructive response ensues, that responding person will be blocked from further opportunity for discussion on my pages…

At any rate, people need to realize that from Jesus’ birth to His Resurrection, His purposes and teachings have been under attack. There have been and still are false teachers, false prophets, false messiah’s, and false Christians and false Christianity.
I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel — which is really no gospel at all. Evidently, some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! — Galatians 1:6–8, NIV.

During Jesus’ life here on Earth many people chose to make themselves his enemies… the Religious Leaders, the Government officials, the Unbelievers, and those others who had chosen to be irreligious.

The Bible gives several analyses of their motivations like indignation, jealousy, self-righteousness and the like, but Jesus kept on keeping on… even knowing that in the end such people would think that they had “won out,” forcing the Romans to crucify him.
…Little did they know… Everyone needs to know…
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. — 2 Peter 3:9, NIV.
