Multiversed
March 14, 2025
Let me review my view from my lowly viewpoint of my meat and potatoes lowly but real life… Let me review my multiverse;;;
- My High School Classmates stuck by me — even when I let them down. We never asked who had what religion neither what Party the parents belonged to or anything about economic status.
- A natural born Hawaiian, originally from Maui, directed me to call on God when I was suffering a critically disastrous LSD trip.
- A Pentecostal Missionary welcomed me into his home, converted into a youth hostel and already home for a half dozen young wanderers. That is where I came to Jesus, was baptized, and received the baptism into the Holy Spirit… big, big change…
- My parents were always there for me from the time I was born, and they received me back home from my wandering prodigal journeying without anything but open arms.
- In all my jobs, my fellow Employees and I worked together, covered for one another and always exceeded our Employer’s expectations.
- My Local Union Executive Board were always supportive of our members and filled my competency gaps as if I had none.
- A team of Surgeons at a Hospital in the Catholic Health Care System.
- The two Surgeons were a brown-skinned Doctor of Mexican heritage and the other, an American Doctor, of Jewish heritage..
- There were a whole bunch of Women Nurses that kept me alive 24/7 during my extensive recovery, and I know there were a bunch of different nationalities and backgrounds among them, also.
- One of the Pastors that married Patty and me was a Scotch Irish man from Canada and the other a Methodist member of the Salvation Army from our hometown. (both had also become pentecostal ministers)
I never questioned their politics or religion or how rich or poor any of these people were.
Finally, about my better half…
Patty has almost always patiently put up with my irritating habits, long hours at work, and now, my crotchety-old-man behaviors and declining abilities and health. (She’s not bad… for a girl)
What’s my point?
Do I really need to spell it out?
Maybe so, but I have no intent to do your thinking for you…
…but I’ll give you a clue…
Unfortunately, nowadays, there’s a whole different dynamic going on that skews people’s perspectives, blocks appreciation, and makes for dark shadows to creep over all we see and perceive and do.
It’s all very sad.
