We are being entertained by a real Clown Show, but it’s missing the rest of the Circus, and it’s coming to your town. Well, that Clown Show has come to your town whether or not you are aware of it and the clowns are not at all funny.
I’ve been hearing footsteps. They’re getting louder, and almost sounding like stomping — but in a strange goose stepping unison…
Have you heard it too?
It lacked the usual fanfare and ads and posters pasted all over town, yet all over the place on the internet, and it was all over the News — if you were paying attention…
Don’t worry about missing the show, because it’s not going anywhere. The Big Top tent has been raised, and the stakes firmly pounded into the ground. The Barkers and the Master of Ceremonies have already been parading ahead of those footsteps, leading the spectacle, the band playing to the Pied Piper’s tune…
Come on! You must have seen it, heard it, maybe even participated in the celebrations…
Nonetheless, here is what the Bible says is going on:
Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, regarding the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit, or a message, or a letter, as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come {and gone}. No one is to deceive you in any way! For it will not come unless the apostasy {the falling away} comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god {magistrate, judge} or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God… — 2 Thessalonians 2:1–4, NASB — {my edits} for clarification, see the Interlinear Bible and Strong’s definitions).
Now, I ask, who now has defied every Law on the books? Who has broken contract law? Civil Law? Federal Law? Tax Law? International Law? Constitutional Law? Marital Law? And who made his bed with a Child Sex Trafficker? Who even breaks the laws of good Sportsmanship?
What other possible laws are there which he does not break?
If you are thinking of the same person I am, he has also done the equivalent of burning down the Reichstag in the 1930’s Weimar Republic of Germany by pushing our U.S. Congress out of commission. Who has been busy replacing Federal Judges with His sycophants from local jurisdictions to the U.S. Supreme Court?

If he isn’t the “man of lawlessness” that 2 Thessalonians 2:3 is referring to, he’s doing a damn good impersonation…
So, what to do? Wring our hands? No. Not at all…
In the whole second chapter of the excerpt above:
- Don’t panic — you haven’t missed the Second Coming.
- There is someone restraining that evil man.
- The Bible has forewarned us about all this.
- Many Christians will fall away from following the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Many Unbelievers will become deluded and deceived into following paths of wickedness.
Then, my advice, as always, is that you seek the presence and righteousness of God in your life. Call on Jesus to rescue you from any and all upcoming disasters. Prayerfully read the Bible for insight and understanding what the will of the Lord is:
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? — Micah 6:8, NASB
