Once I thought that God used evolution, but evolution as a scientific theory is weak enough without trying to stretch it into the Noah's Flood story or try to stuff it into the ark wth all the other animals,

One thing I've learned is that there was no worldwide flood as we know the world as it really exists as a sphere about 8,000 miles wide. Their is no geological evidence. The "whole earth" as they saw it was just the Mesopotamian area, the Near East as we call it today. Yes. It certainly was their whole world! ...the world that they knew... not the world we discoved and know today. The Babylonians have a similar Flood Story, if you use the Scientific process of confirmation...

There is geological evidence that as the Ice Age glaciers melted a land dam created a sea behind it. When that earthen dam burst the whole area was flooded. Note the use of the phrase "forty days" means in English "a long time." Still, the animals did not include animals outside that world, that is, no elephants, no giraffes. no hippos or rhinos... and the "clean" animals were gathered by sevens, that is, for example, one ram and 6 ewes...

Yes the "Big Bang " is in the Bible, sort of, but the Big Bang states something was spontaneously made out of nothing. No agency. whatsoever. In fact ,the atheist Science community fought the adoption of the Theory because it was too similar to the Biblical account! The Bible Creation Story has an agency: God created the heavens and the Earth.
