Thank you for responding. Still, I have the same problem with your essay as I had before. Our discussion becomes difficult for me, because you do not cite your sources. So, there is no steady rail to hold on to.

Regarding verse 2 there is this from https://biblehub.com/hebrew/5095.htm

"Definition: To lead, guide, refresh, bring to a place of rest

Meaning: to run with a, sparkle, flow, to conduct, to protect, sustain"

Regarding verse 3, is this from https://biblehub.com/hebrew/5148.htm "Definition: To lead, guide, direct

Meaning: to guide, to transport"

I see nothing related to God forcing anyone to go into exile. In the sources cited above the words are very similar in meaning.

In my life the only driving force has been from my carnal nature and sinful desires. My better and more practical choices have been driven by necessity like choosing to get a job and choosing to do it well. When I chose to be a H.S. punter, I drove myself to kick the best I could for the team. When I chose to play H.S. basketball, the cheers of my classmates drove me to the point of exhaustion. However, when I smoked cigarettes I was driven to always buy another pack. I'm a binge alcoholic so in Bars one drink drove me to buy another and another and another...

However, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free." - Galatians 5:1.

Besides, when I surrendered my life to Jesus, He has always led me gently in every way just like King David wrote in Psalm 23... that is as long as I behaved more like a sheep than like a goat.

"And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns." - Philippians 1:6

Again, without you sharing your sources, it is impossible to go any further.on this topic.
