Thanks dor your article. One aspect in particular sparked a thought.
The idea of God's "chosen peoople" is often thought of as being superior over evryone else, when in truth alll the scars, all the warts, and so on suggest rather that "chosen" meant that they were chosen to show all their successes *and why) and all their failures (and why) so that the rest of Humanity could learn from all of its historical record... I suppose the events could be put to us today as "So, you think you could do better? Fine. Show me."
