Back in the day, the 70's, my first experiences with pot actually broke the hold deep depression had on me. Instead of suicidal, everything seemed funny. No idea what "everything" was, but soon after, all pot did was make me sleepy. So, I "advanced" in my "spiritual journey" to hash, then LSD , and eventually anything put in front of me. Not a gateway drug? Bull! The simplest of things became "Wow man" revelations. It is now an integral part of the dumbing down of America. Not going into detail, the only real beneficial "changes" in my life began when I called on God of the Bible. They continue to this day fifty years later. Anyways, that's my anecdotal contribution to this topic.
