The Bible calls us to mend a broken relationship-- with God and with each other. The calling is not to establish religion. Religions attempt to put God in a manmade box, and in that sense Christianity has become an institution, and would profer that when any movement becomes institutionalized, it dies. The Bible says that "unless there is a falling away, the end will not come." Perhaps your group represents that occurring-- I'm not saying that that is bad-- only that it is necessary to fall away from religion to realize the necessity for seeking a renewal of personal relationship-- with God and with your neighbors, and not excluding God from either.
