Matthew 24:10–12

“And then many will fall away, and they will betray one another, and will hate one another; and many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray. And because lawlessness is to be multiplied, the love of the many will grow cold.” — Berean Literal Bible.

Before anyone starts reading this, this essay is directed towards Bible Believing Christians. However, it is not evidence for outsiders to build a case for judging others, but nonbelievers may learn and be forewarned to look at their own situation, being diligent to respond accordingly… to begin to hear the truth revealed in the Bible.

Evangelical… Now, what exactly does that mean?

MerriamWebster.com defines this as

3: emphasizing salvation by faith in the atoning death of Jesus Christ through personal conversion, the authority of Scripture, and the importance of preaching as contrasted with ritual

Now what does the Bible say?

“Later, as they were eating, Jesus appeared to the Eleven and rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.’ “ — Mark 16:14–16, Berean Standard Bible.

Hmm…

That is usually referred to as the Great Commision : “Go into all the world and preach the gospel…”

The consequences for not listening and then believing is condemnation, which sounds like some pretty serious stuff.

Still and all, what are many so-called Evangelicals doing?

Are they following in Jesus’ footsteps?

Are they proclaiming the Good News, the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

Looks to me like they’re trumping up the Band for political domination and a political Savior and political agendas…

I don’t think that is what Jesus meant.

“Salvation exists in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

That sounds really important to me — something people should know. Also, there is this excerpt which sounds pretty deep to me, and people need a little more info and encouragement to really listen: This seems to me that this should be a priority for “Evangelical Chrisitans” far above politics…

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” — John 3:16–17, ibid.

Falling away…

Betraying one another…..

Hating one another…

Listening to falsehoods…

Leading others astray…

Love growing cold…

Gee. That paints quite a familiar picture, doesn’t it? Now, where have I seen that painting? Oh yeah. Now I remember… outside my window; every day on TV; all ways on social media and other online platforms… like this one…

“It would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the sea than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.” — Luke 17:2, ibid.

“Do not be deceived: God is not to be mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap in return.” — Galatians 6:7, ibid.

“They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is forever worthy of praise! Amen.” :25. ibid.

Well then I ask where are all the Evangelicals?

Digging a hole for themselves, I would reckon.

For some reason they are supporting the most vile and detestable and unchristian people ever to walk this planet.

That’s all I have to say about that.

“For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who disobey the gospel of God?” — 1 Peter 4:17, ibid.
