The Unexplained

There are yet many unexplained phenomena in the Universe and more important to me are the ones right here on Earth.

Here’s the first one on my mind this morning:

Why do people who do not acknowledge the existence of God — God who is recognized in the Bible — why do committed atheists and agnostics — why do those very same people choose to blame that very same nonexistent God for everything wrong with Man, the World, and negative occurrence throughout?

No. Really. Does that seem logical to anyone?

How can they blame God if God doesn’t exist?!?

How is it that people who deny God’s very existence turn around to blame Him for everything wrong within the Universe and our World?

It seems to me the height of hypocrisy, an ill-fitting tuxedo for those claiming they dine on the heights of knowledge, a broken serving platter serving rotted logic by those claiming greatest of credibility as factual restaurateurs.

Who invented the Atom Bomb — worse yet, the Hydrogen Bomb?

Beyond that incredible form of mass destruction, who has made an incredibly abhorrent stash of cash by producing an overabundance stash of weapons, creating an entire industry? Who developed the mass production of inventions which have one purpose and one purpose only: killing and maiming the greatest number of their fellow Humans and whatever stands in their way?

Who has developed a vast array of technological inventions and engineering structures which eventually destroy the very environment around us which we are entirely dependent on, the ground underneath our feet, and even into the realms of Outer Space?

And we take pride in these accomplishments, pounding our universal chests like we have subdued everything and everyone around us, like we have actually done something good?!?

Mankind is killing all of Humanity — all the morality and ethics and awareness which the Bible demonstrates — the Bible which demonstrates both wrong paths leading to destruction and the right paths leading to prosperous Societal living.

Oh! So it’s Christians who are just so judgmental! Blame them!

No. Biblical Christianity — and I emphasize the word “Biblical” — teaches people to use good judgment — and there is a vast difference between incriminating judgment as in a Court of Law — and discerning judgment as in using knowledge and experience and evaluation within the confining realms of reality… You know, the meat and potatoes of living… the down to Earth stuff…

Stuff that really matters… like …love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. — Galatians 5:22–23, NIV.

Importantly, and related to the two kinds of judgment I just mentioned, the statement at the end of the verses above, “Against such things there is no law.” means that becoming a Born Again Christian, among many other advantages, by growing into those traits, has escaped God’s Courtroom Judgment. because Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. — 5:24), ibid

Beyond this, another companion of Jesus, one of His apostles declared, We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death. — 1 John 3:14, ibid.

How Can They Live Without Jesus? (M.Y. Remaster / 1999 Digital Remaster)

Now, here comes my second question:

If the claim is that there is no God, no overarching authority, no superior to guide us through life, by what moral authority does anyone impose their own made-up Laws on anyone else? Following to a logical conclusion, there is no moral authority, no real “power behind the throne” to say what is right or wrong and no civilized structure in which to operate our lives,

It would be chaos except for one overarching fact: The only governing power left from defined atheism and speculative agnosticism would be the intrinsic Law of the Jungle — Survival of the Fittest — where only the strongest survive.

As for me, I’d rather have Jesus be my Sovereign than any person, or place, or thing arising from Mankind…

Finally, instead of devoting all your time and energy to finding fault with others, blaming people for all your troubles and blaming God for the way things are (as you see them), look at yourself and your own contributions to “the way things are.” You might not be so quick to shoot your arrows of indignation at other nations or races or tribes or neighbors or governments or whatever…

Sit down and take a load off. It’s a wearisome thing to play the Blame Game. God has much more enjoyable activities for you to do.

There’s more to life than what can be seen with the naked eye.

There’s more to Christianity than is apparent in the actions of many individuals who claim the Name.

There’s more to life than wasting time and emotional energy listening to all the naysayers and conspiracy theorists.

They are a drag on your life — not an empowering force that will lift you up out of the flood.

But Jesus is.

While teaching a large crowd of people Jesus Himself said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” — Matthew 11: 28–30, ibid.
