God is love (a love we cannot understand or attain) and in that love God created the universe and everything in it - including us, the crown of His creation. Therefore, His laws and precepts are for our benefit physically, mentally, vocationally, avocationally, and in general, spiritually, psychologically, and socially... just sayin'.
