Wha’ Happened!?

“You can fool some of the people all the time, all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all of the time.”

Time will tell the complete results of this 2024 Election… but I am not talking about the Popular Vote or the Electoral College results… I am talking more about the long term consequences — which we are on the verge of finding out… Time will tell…

I have to admit my grave disappointment on the immediate results.

First of all, I have to emphasize the reactions in the analysis by the TV News anchors and reporters who are spewing various degrees of blame very studiously and seriously — as if they really are authorities on the subject.

As they are spreading their opinions all over the place, they conveniently omit their own responsibility. Whatever happens next, they do have a humongous burden of responsibility.

The Press is not “the enemy within,” but by their negligence of their journalistic responsibilities, they are complicit in whatever happens next — whether beneficial or calamitous… If beneficial they are just lucky-ducky… But that isn’t what’s going to happen. (Like, for example, how secure from Putin, et al, do you think are our National Security secrets?)

Further, my first guess is that the Press no longer considers that they are obliged to “we the people” as for any journalistic responsibility. It seems to me they are only tied to their paychecks from their corporate organizations who hired them and pay them (as long as they toe the company line). They are just like Trump in their transactional approach to life at the expense of morality and ethics, truths and realities.

The evidence is clear from their unrelenting demands for more details from Kamala Harris and total silence regarding questioning any details from President-elect Trump’s agenda.

Here’s another one of my opinionated observations: Having 6-figure salaries, and therefore having a comfortable lifestyle “above the fray,” that is to say, detached from where the rest of us live — they could not point out the differences between Trump’s vengeful grievances and the situational grievances living where the rest of us live… Legitimate grievances, I must add, where the President-elect’s grievances are personal and vindictive.

So, people think that Trump is one of us? You’re going to find out he’s not. I imagine that’s going to be a hard one to swallow after putting so much faith in him…
Nevertheless, “we the people” have some legitimate questions:

  • Why do immigrants, prisoners, college students, and other social groups get a free lunch, a free education,a free pass, free health care, free room & board, free this and a free that, while “we the people” are stuck having to “slave away” in 40–60 hour per week jobs that still leave us scratching out a living — sometimes not even able to do that!?
  • What about the porous Border as in “What about us?”
  • You’re going to give $10,000 to students who voluntarily took out loans? What about giving everybody ten grand for auto, home. credit cards, and other personal loans? Yeah! That would be great!
  • And so on…

Am I being double-minded?

Nope… clear-eyed.

People do have legitimate grievances.

In many ways Progressive Democrats have their finger on the problems, but they come up short for practical and equitable ways to resolve them. As for MAGA folks, they only want quick and simple answers. Still and all, they should know by now that that just isn’t how life works.

My conclusion is that Mankind is totally lost in the deep dark woods and has no clue how to beat a path out of it.

My solution seems to be unpalatable for many.

Quit looking to people to save you from all this mess.

“Whoever calls on the name of the Lord…”

Turn to God, Jesus, and the Bible.

No one on Earth is your salvation, Your rescuer, your protector, or your provider. People will always let you down, However, if you push through to get ahold of God, things will become radically different.

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” — Matthew 11:28–30, Berean standard Bible.
