You seem to be a bit confused. You did contradict the gist of your essay, trying to differentiate between fornication and adultery, that is between consensual and forced, between consenting adults and rape. In another context, is gluttony a sin or is bulimia? Look, if one studies the Bible as a whole revelation from God to Mankind, you might come to understand That God's love for us is paternal, and you will broaden your understanding of sin to go beyond "being bad" in disobedience to God. However, far beyond that confining definition, God the Father is like good parents who don't want any hurt or harm to come our way. So, they give us their best advice, knowing their children might not listen, having to learn the hard way. What harm then could befall consenting adults? Physically, there are STD's. Mentally, an abundance of psychological problems arise from its stressors (see, ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10002055/ ) Spiritually, it separates us from the agape love that God has for individuals. The apostolic letters warn in several instances, and this might be a key: "...there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord." - Romans 7, New Living Translation. .Get a grip!
