Your assessment that the Didache is a brief read is misleading... Anyways, it seems mostly in the form similar to the Law of Moses and might be mistaken for works rather than grace for reconciliation with God, and some of the directives are quite legalistic rather than gracious.

I am somewhat used to reading the Greek Interlinear Bible in which the cadence is very unfamiliar to me and seems so awkward. With that in mind, the translation at this website is also awkward. What I did get out of it was no more than the Gospels and letters of the Apostles in the canon of the New Testament already included.

In my final opinionated analysis, it would still be an unnecessary addition to whatever and whomever and whenever the decision was made as to what to include in the canon we have today. (and I usually don't agree with the various "councils" that made such decisions)
