Anyways, yes, God spoke to "his people" - people who were quite a broad spectrum of individuals ,tribes, and nations, and if you give credence to the Book of Hebrews and the "great cloud of witnesses" by faith He still speaks but not just to the Jews but to the Gentiles and to the ends of tne earth - the "ends" being not only a span of time but the expanse of peoples.
